Proverbs 20:11
Even a child makes himself known by his acts by whether his conduct
is pure and upright.
The word “azizi” is Swahili for “precious”. That is truly what our children are – precious. The goal of the Azizi Children’s Ministry is help build the spiritual and cultural strength in God’s children. The theme for Azizi is “Building God’s Kingdom, One Child at a Time”.
Azizi Ministry reinforces the importance of traditional lessons and foundational values for children ages 4yrs. to 9yrs. The emphasis for all activities for the year centers on the fundamental values, principles and information that will lead to the children’s holistic development – spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically. We will lift up seven fundamental character traits – generosity, kindness, patience, forgiveness, humility, truthfulness and being loving. The children will grow to understand via experience and example what it means to “let their little lights shine” as an answer to the universal call to “spread the Good News”. There are so many activities to get involved in the Azizi Children’s ministry just jump right in!

Divine Perfection Squared is designed to give our pre-teens (10-12 year olds) a safe peer group environment where they can learn and grow spiritually, mentally and socially. Our goal is to foster the healthy growth of our children that are in their pre-teen years, we will utilize biblical principles to guide our workshops and activities. We want our children to develop healthy relationships with their peers inside and outside of ZHBC. We want them to learn how to think critically and make good decisions. As a ministry this will be a pre-emptive strike against the negativism in the world that is attacking our children at a younger age. We will hopefully prevent some of the pitfalls we see and prepare them for greater healthy independence.
The puppet ministry- It is our creative way to express God’s word through puppetry arts, all members of DP2 are invited to participate. The children also learn more about God’s word in the process. We hope to also use this art form as a tool for outreach to the community.

Verse: I Timothy 4:12-14
• Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through a prophetic message when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
